Silversea Expeditions currently sells several materially different Antarctica formats: traditional expedition sailings, full fly-cruise products, and one-way sail/fly or fly/sail products. Crossing method and package logistics need to be compared at the product level.
Full fly-cruise example
Current Antarctica: Fly the Drake Passage departures use Silver Endeavour for six-day King George Island-to-King George Island cruise segments. The full traveler journey extends beyond those six ship days because flights, transfers, and hotel stays can sit around the cruise segment.
Sail/fly products are different variants
Silversea also sells Antarctica: Sail & Fly the Drake Passage products that sail one direction and fly the other. Current examples use Puerto Williams and King George Island as ship-segment endpoints. They should not be collapsed into the same timeline or gateway assumptions as a full fly-cruise.
Silver Endeavour
Silversea’s current Silver Endeavour page reports 220 guests and 207 crew, with eight public decks. The operator states that all suites have a balcony.
Booking terms need exact fare scope
For U.S. travelers, the current Silversea U.S. guest terms and the actual fare/booking materials control cancellation, deposits, and payment timing. Atlas Expedition Guide does not manufacture one universal final-payment deadline or numeric Antarctica insurance minimum where the current public source set does not establish one.
